Life as a military-connected student has its ups and downs, but PGM wants everyone to feel connected. Friday, military students received "Purple Up" yo-yos from the Moody AFB School Liaison. Students were excited to show off some tricks and have a little fun during the Month of the Military Child! #MonthOfTheMilitaryChild #PurpleUp 💜

Brittanye Blake from WALB spoke to Mrs. Jackson's first period 6th grade ELA class about her transition from newspaper reporter to broadcaster. She emphasized the importance of reading, writing, and editing, talked about programs used to create newspapers, and taught the students about the interview process. Ms. Jackson's students will be creating their own school newspaper over the next few weeks and were excited to learn some pointers from Ms. Blake! 😊📰📹#CommunityPartnerships

6th grade honor roll winners! 😄 #AllIn

8th grade ELA students are busy reviewing for GMAS! They worked together on a puzzle to review important terms and definitions. ✏️

Y-LEAD members enjoyed attending the local Rotary luncheon earlier this week. Superintendent Sandra Wilcher was the guest speaker! 😊 #OneLowndes

Ms. Briggs’ homeroom won the "who wore the most purple" contest to support military kids! They enjoyed their cupcakes this morning! 💜🧁

PGM wore purple today in honor of our military students! Each military student was also given a "Proud to Be a Military Child" dog tag, which was designed by Military Club members Belle and Bella. 💜 #PurpleUpGA

7th grade science students are studying how traits are passed on through natural selection, so they became “birds” in a natural selection lab! Their “beaks” were either a spoon, binder clip, tweezers, or chopsticks. They had to eat as much “food” as possible. If they did not eat enough, they did not survive, so their bird traits were not passed on. This lab was a blast! 🐦 #STEM

We love celebrating our students! These 7th graders were rewarded for good grades and positive behavior during Friday's honor roll celebration. 😊 #AllIn

9th grade ELA students shared their independent reading books with their classmates by creating and presenting book bentos. Each image they created contains objects that represent different elements of the story. 📚❤️ #PGMreads

Here is the schedule for our upcoming GMAS testing. We will begin with ELA on Tuesday, April 23. Please have students at school on time and well-rested on testing days! 😊

The PGM Military Club created a collaborative art project to display for the Month of the Military Child. Each club member wrote or drew their thoughts about what it's like to be a military child on a Post-it, and those Post-its were formed into a flag. Thanks to Ella for drawing a child saluting our silent heroes. 🇺🇸 #MonthOfTheMilitaryChild 💜

PGM kicked off Month of the Military Child today! Please join us in showing support by wearing PURPLE as we purple up for military kids on Monday, 4/15. 🇺🇸 #MonthOfTheMiltaryChild
