Students brought early state history to life by performing a catchy song about the main motivations behind European exploration (the 3Gs - God, Gold, and Glory), creating a skit about the founding of Georgia, and rotating through stations to further explore the reasons our state was established. 🎵🎭📖

Our 6th grade scientists put their marshmallow-and-toothpick structures to the ultimate test—the Jell-O Earthquake Challenge! Students shook, observed, and discovered which engineering designs could withstand the quake. Some structures stood strong…and some experienced a little structural failure!

Mrs. Lund's physical science students participated in a lab where they built makeshift slingshots to investigate potential and kinetic energy. When students pulled the balloon on the end of the cup back, it showed them potential energy. When the students let go of the balloon, it showed students the potential energy transforming into kinetic energy. ⚡️#PGMVikings #STEM
