7th and 8th grade band students performed at the Bandmaster’s Festival in Bainbridge today. Both groups earned superior ratings from all judges!!! Superior is the highest designation a band can receive. We are so proud of their performance and growth. 😊 Go Grove!! 🎶

7th grade gifted/advanced life science classes enjoyed their field trip to Grand Bay Wildlife Management Area on Tuesday! Students used a psychrometer to measure and calculate the current humidity, performed an experiment to test the oxygen content of the water, learned about local wildlife, and more! 🐢🐊🧪 #STEM

PGM is one of many schools across the state piloting GaLEADS, the new teacher evaluation system. We are proud to announce that our very own Dr. Sarah Gatzemeier is the first professional teacher in the state to earn the entire GaLEADS Competency-based Learning Professional Teacher Series and Professional Leadership Pathway Badge. She is on course to earn the Accomplished Teacher Designation that distinguishes her as an exemplary teacher leader in the state of Georgia. Go Dr. Gatz! 😄

PGM 8th graders are having a blast on their field trip to Atlanta! Today they visited Centennial Olympic Park, toured the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, and participated in STEM activities at State Farm Arena.

Mr. Swilley and Mrs. Harris's math students used straws to construct and compare trapezoids and parallelograms. #STEM

Mrs. Hopkins’ 8th grade Georgia Studies students created Black History Month mini project banners! Students researched African Americans who championed equality or were impactful to society. They then shared their chosen figure's biographical information and achievements with their peers & our entire school community! #ThreeCs #BlackHistoryMonth

Tryouts for sideline cheerleading during football season will be held March 25-28 from 3:30-5:00 each day. See Mrs. Jackson in Room 603 for details! 📣🏈

Love was in the air on Valentine's Day as Mrs. Soldani, Mrs. Jackson, and Mrs. Herb's ELA classes cycled through the media center to "speed date" books from various genres! Students had the chance to explore new stories in a fun way, and some students even found their perfect literary match! ❤️📚
