His support plays a major role in our 7th-grade STEM PBL as students explore how to manage and maintain our school pond to ensure it remains healthy, safe, and well-stocked for hosting successful kids’ fishing events.
Thanks to community partners like Mr. Page, our students have the real-world resources they need to serve as true environmental stewards for our campus lake. We’re hooked on learning this year! 🎣

Legislating Lake Valhalla: Democracy vs. Autocracy in 7th Grade Social Studies! 🎣📜
For Constitution Day, Mrs. Kiefhaber's 7th graders stepped into the shoes of legislators to draft the Lake Valhalla Public Fishing Act!
As part of an interdisciplinary lesson connected to their STEM PBL, students investigated democratic and autocratic governments, citizens' rights, and environmental protection. Using evidence and reasoning, these young lawmakers then worked to create a legal framework for public fishing tournaments that protects both constitutional rights and local natural resources.

👩🍳🧑🍳 Culinary Crusaders is off to a great start! Our middle school chefs learned about kitchen hygiene while practicing measuring and mixing skills to make Monster Cookie Dough Bites 🍪 and Fruity Party Punch 🍓🥤. They had a great time learning, creating, and working together!
