We are proud to partner with Langdale Honda and the Humane Society of Valdosta – Lowndes County to make this event possible.
Each family can have one pet microchipped for FREE!
Additional pets can be microchipped for only $5 each.
Microchipping is a simple and effective way to help ensure lost pets are safely reunited with their families. We hope you’ll take advantage of this great opportunity!

We are so excited to invite you to our LHS Student Art Competition!
The opening reception is in our S-wing hallway, this Thursday, April 10 from 4:00-6:00 PM. Awards will be announced at 5 PM in the Chorus room. We will have refreshments in S515 and VSU's Department of Art will have a recruitment table set up. All guests should enter through the main entrance by the school office.
We have over 80 artworks on display (and many for sale!) made by our LHS students! This is our biggest event of the year in the Art department! #OneLowndes #BetterTogether

What an incredible journey they’ve had this season! They took home the Regional Win, the SAPA Win, and a 7th place finish at World Championships in Dayton, OH! 🏆✨

This week Lowndes High FCCLA traveled to Columbus, GA to attend the FCCLA State Leadership Conference. Students participated in events, attended leadership sessions, and celebrated an awesome year! Highlights of the week included:
*Watching Rachael Adair finish her year out of being a region 8 officer for this school year.
*Our chapter received the award of Honor Roll which showcases the achievements and attendance at various activities throughout the school year.
*Breyonna Denson, Rachel Huynh, Jade Huynh, Nia Brown, Abbea Deloach, Abbigail Register, and Kaylee Parker competed in Parliamentary Procedure. This team WON the state competition, received a GOLD ranking and are advancing to nationals this summer. Many of the girls on this team have been working on a state win since they were freshman and their hard work has finally paid off!
*Makenzi Yates competed in Nutrition and Wellness at the state level. She finished 7th in the state and received a silver ranking.
*Iris Leigh Competing in Baking and Pastry at the state level and receiving a bronze award.
We can not wait to see how our Parliamentary Procedure team will do at the National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida this summer! @onelowndes #BetterTogether

🎶🎤 Ms. Mitchell's British Literature classes at LHS took their literary analysis skills to the next level! 📚 They reviewed song lyrics to identify figurative and rhetorical language, all while competing in a fun and engaging "song trail" challenge! 🎵🏆 Who knew language analysis could sound this good?



Our Spanish 4 students hosted the Career Wax Museum last week! 🗓️🎓 This fun and engaging project served as their summative assessment for the Future Professions unit. 🏫✨

Our AP Environmental Science students had the privilege of hosting Mayor Scott Matheson to discuss a variety of important issues impacting our community. From traffic routes and housing needs to healthcare, hurricane cleanup, and water/sewer infrastructure—Mayor Matheson shared valuable insights on the challenges and solutions shaping our daily lives.

Our FFA Parliamentary Procedure team has earned a top placement and is advancing to the state event at the Georgia FFA State Convention in Macon, GA, this April! 🎉🏆
The Parliamentary Procedure LDE is designed to help students develop leadership skills and learn how to effectively conduct business meetings. Through this competition, students demonstrate the correct use of FFA Opening and Closing Ceremonies, apply parliamentary procedure to run an efficient and orderly meeting, communicate effectively as team members, and showcase critical thinking and teamwork in decision-making.
Team members are: Karli Malone, Alyssa Skinner, Ambelina Hunt, Abby Register,
Ansley Howell, and Caleb Skinner. We’re so proud of their hard work—can't wait to see them shine at state! 🌟


The journey Into The Woods begins tonight, Friday, and Saturday with 7:00PM performances in the PAC.
