Students in Mrs. Taylor’s class had a little fun by doing the opposite of what we normally practice. Students worked in groups to create the worst arguments possible. They had to include weak evidence, emotional reasoning, confusing claims, and logical fallacies. It was hilarious and served as a great review! ✏️

Our 6th Grade Military Club members had an amazing trip to Macon! First, they attended the STEM School Game with the Macon Mayhem — an exciting way to see science in action through the fast-paced world of hockey. 🏒 Then, they explored history firsthand with a hike at Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park, learning about the rich cultural heritage preserved right in our own state. It was a fun and memorable way to combine science and history all in one incredible day! #STEM

Last week, 8th grader Cooper Blocher represented PGM and Lowndes County Schools at the 2026 All-State Chorus in Athens, GA! 🎶 The All State Chorus process calls students from all corners of Georgia to participate in two rigorous rounds of auditions. After passing both auditions and earning a perfect score on his second evaluation, Cooper was invited to participate in the 3-day event with about 150 other middle school tenors and basses - for the second consecutive year! Mr. Young is incredibly proud of Cooper’s dedication, musicianship, and his representation of PGM and the choral program! Congratulations, Cooper! 🎶

Pine Grove Middle School TOOK OFF this week to visit Moody AFB for the S.O.A.R. (Saluting Our Aviation Roots) program! The students interacted with airmen, geared up and hopped into vehicles, and watched a pararescue demo and flyovers. The program was an amazing hands-on way to learn about aviation, the military, and STEM careers. Thank you #MoodyAFB! #SOAR #STEM
