We kicked off Homecoming Week with
💰Monopoly Monday dressing in bling like millionaires, and today we twisted things up wearing the colors and dots of Twister! 🔴🔵🟢🟡#MadeHereBuiltHere #OneLowndes

Mrs. Pope's 6th grade social studies students have been learning the basics of economics. Before exploring the economies of other countries, they worked in pairs to research and create collaborative slideshows showcasing how the four factors of economic growth show up right here in Lowndes County! 💵 #MadeHereBuiltHere #OneLowndes #PGMVikings #Northbound

7th and 8th Grade Parent Night is Tuesday, September 15 at 6 PM! We hope you can join us to walk your student's academic schedule and learn a bit more about each class.😊

Never a dull moment at the Grove! We hope you enjoy these snapshots from the past few weeks. 😊 #PGMVikings #Northbound

Thank you, Bimbo Bakery, for donating the hamburger buns for last Friday's football kickoff staff tailgate! We appreciate you! 😊🍔 #CommunityPartners

Our 8th-grade historians recently took a hands-on dive into Georgia’s roots! Students brought early state history to life by performing a catchy song about the main motivations behind European exploration (the 3Gs - God, Gold, and Glory), creating a skit about the founding of Georgia, and rotating through stations to further explore the reasons our state was established. 🎵🎭📖

Our new 6th-grade student envoys were trained this morning to escort, welcome, and mentor new students at PGM! They enjoyed putting together special welcome bags to help our newest students feel right at home. 🎒✨
We’re so proud of these young leaders and can’t wait to see them make a difference! 🌟

🌎 Plate tectonics never tasted so good! Our 6th graders used Rice Krispie Treats, frosting, and graham crackers to model how tectonic plates collide, separate, and slide. A little messy, a lot of learning, and definitely delicious! 😋 #PGMVikings #Northbound #STEM

🌼📚 Marigolds in full bloom!
Last week, our eighth graders dove into the short story "Marigolds," exploring symbolism and digging deeper into the story through creative mind maps. 🧠
We LOVE seeing their thinking come to life—and these turned out great! 📖

Congrats to both A and B team volleyball for big wins over Tift County! Go Grove! 🏐♥️ #PGMVikings #Northbound

Ms. Smith's scientists investigated changes in potential energy due to air resistance. 📏⚡️💨 #STEM

7th and 8th Grade Parent Night is coming up soon on Tuesday, September 15 at 6 PM! We hope you can join us to walk your student's academic schedule and learn a bit more about each class.😊

🌎💥 The results are in. . . and things got SHAKY! 🍮
Our 6th grade scientists put their marshmallow-and-toothpick structures to the ultimate test—the Jell-O Earthquake Challenge! Students shook, observed, and discovered which engineering designs could withstand the quake. Some structures stood strong…and some experienced a little structural failure!

Our 6th graders put their math skills to work in the ultimate hands-on, cross-curricular project! Before diving into a seismic science activity, students whipped up batches of Jell-O. But this wasn't just about following a recipe—they had to calculate ratios, scale proportions up and down, and work with fractions to get their measurements just right. 🧠📊 #PGMVikings #Northbound #STEM

PGM students are continuing to SAIL! Mrs. Soldani and our admin team led a game show at lunch where students answered questions proving they know how to Be Safe, Be Accountable, Be Involved, and Be a Leader, as well as some fun trivia questions! ⭐️ #PGMVikings #Northbound #PBIS

Shout out to the PGM Sunshine Committee and admin team for brightening our staff's day with an abundance of orange snacks on the last day of August! ☀️🧡 #PGMVikings #Northbound

Mrs. Kiefhaber's social studies students wrote journal entries in first person point of view depicting what life is like for a day as a student living in a country with an autocratic government. Students researched the cultures of the areas they chose to help them develop their characters. ✏️ 💻 #Interdisciplinary #PGMwrites

6th Grade Parent Night is TOMORROW (Thursday, September 3) at 6 PM. Join us to walk your student's academic schedule and learn a bit more about each class! 😊

Mrs. Lund's physical science students participated in a lab where they built makeshift slingshots to investigate potential and kinetic energy. When students pulled the balloon on the end of the cup back, it showed them potential energy. When the students let go of the balloon, it showed students the potential energy transforming into kinetic energy. ⚡️#PGMVikings #STEM

Thank you to the Howard Center for the delicious cheesecake yesterday! Mrs. Hampton was thrilled to win the bag! #CommunityPartners
