Students in Ms Vovk’s small group practiced a skill they call “scooping.” They use this to help them sound out larger, more difficult words in a text. Once they’ve “scooped” all the words, they read the text again for more understanding.

We are so grateful for parent classroom donations at MBE. Students in Mrs. Carter's kindergarten class enjoyed wearing masks during Math after learning about the letter Mm this week!
In 3rd grade science, we just finished the unit on Heat energy. We learned about solar energy and how it can cause certain items to melt or get hot. For this project we built solar overs and used materials that will absorb the heat energy to make smores!
A special thank you to Papa Johns in Valdosta for donating pizza boxes to our 3rd grade students for these projects!
