Second Grade students in Mrs. Cliett’s Discovery class are learning about the 12 days of Christmas. 🎄 Yesterday was the first day back and they learned about the partridge in a pear tree. Their challenge was to make a plan, use only 10 index cards and work together to build the perfect pear tree for their partridge. Ms. Meadows inspires her students with her love of learning, ensuring they feel loved and respected in return. Her kindness and thoughtfulness extend to everyone she encounters, making her an invaluable team member. Miss Meadows gives outstanding contributions to our team, as she consistently adds fun lessons and activities to our third-grade curriculum, creating memorable experiences for her students. Our 2nd graders are getting creative with process writing! 📚✨ They not only learned how to organize their thoughts step by step but also made a delicious treat, “ Pie in a Cup” as part of the lesson. To top it off, they each made their own recipe card, showcasing their writing skills, technology skills, and creativity. It’s a fun and tasty way to bring writing to life! 🥧✏️ #learningatlpe

Mrs. Black’s class has been learning about dramas and plays and identifying their parts. Last week, everyone was assigned a different part in a Thanksgiving Feast Mystery play and then a few of the students were even brave enough to perform it in front of the class. 🦃Tommy the Turkey went missing, but don’t worry, they were able to find him and he was able to join them “at” the table and not “on” it! #learningatlpe

🦃Mrs. Bowen's class is learning about the 13 original colonies during the Thanksgiving season. They heard about the hardships the colonists faced, and practiced creating their own cabins and villages like the original settlements. #learningatlpe

Honoring Our Heroes: A Heartwarming Veterans Day Celebration at Lake Park Elementary🎖️ We're bursting with pride over our amazing 5th graders and school choir who put on a spectacular Veterans Day program! 👏👏👏 We welcomed local veterans to join us in this special celebration. The event was filled with patriotic songs, heartfelt tributes, and an overwhelming sense of gratitude for those who have served our nation. A big thank you to Chick-fil-A Lake Park and First Baptist Church of Lake Park for providing a delicious breakfast and coffee for our honored guests. Your generosity made the morning even more special! ☕🥐 Several veterans stayed after the program to share their experiences with our 4th and 5th grade classes. What an incredible opportunity for our students to learn about service, sacrifice, and patriotism firsthand! 🎖️ To all who have served: Thank you for your sacrifice and service.
