Our 6th grade scientists put their marshmallow-and-toothpick structures to the ultimate test—the Jell-O Earthquake Challenge! Students shook, observed, and discovered which engineering designs could withstand the quake. Some structures stood strong…and some experienced a little structural failure!
Our 6th graders put their math skills to work in the ultimate hands-on, cross-curricular project! Before diving into a seismic science activity, students whipped up batches of Jell-O. Mrs. Lund's physical science students participated in a lab where they built makeshift slingshots to investigate potential and kinetic energy. When students pulled the balloon on the end of the cup back, it showed them potential energy. When the students let go of the balloon, it showed students the potential energy transforming into kinetic energy. ⚡️#PGMVikings #STEM

Homerooms discussed making choices worth following—leading by example, doing the right thing even when no one is watching, and using positive influence to lift others up. At lunch, students put their instincts to the test with a high-stakes round of True or False: Leadership Edition! 🧠⚡️ From keeping our campus clean to standing up for what's right, our students proved they know how to make independent, positive choices instead of just following the crowd.

In homeroom, students learned that being involved isn't just about sports or clubs—it’s about actively participating, supporting those around you, and using your unique talents to make PGM better. At lunch, our "secret agents" tackled everyday scenarios, proving they know how to step up when someone drops their binder, thank their bus drivers, and keep the cafeteria vibes positive. 📓🚍🍽️

Our PBIS SAIL Week is off to a SAFE start! Staff and students suited up in safety gear today as we focused on the letter S in SAIL, which stands for "Be Safe." 🥽🦺
During homeroom, our Vikings broke down what it really means to make choices that protect themselves and those around them. Then, things got competitive at lunch with a game of "SAFE or SINK THE SHIP!" 🚢 Students put their decision-making skills to the test, tackling real-school scenarios from hallway traffic rules to cafeteria etiquette. Whether in the halls, cafeteria, or classrooms, our students are learning that keeping our school safe takes all of us working together. ⚓️
